BIOGRAPHY

Offering creative digital solutions & innovative storytelling through video.

Humans have traded stories for years – whether it be huddling around campfires, listening to the radio, watching television, or most recently, absorbing content on phones or computers. Books and writing were my chosen storytelling medium for a long time until I discovered I could share similar stories through video. I help my clients convey a variety of messages using video. Each project requires different methods of storytelling to reach the intended goal, and so I have honed my media specialties to include story creation, video editing, motion graphics and social media content curation.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in film production from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and a 6-month video storytelling training at the Los Angeles Film Study Center. In 2012, my silent personal documentary, “Daddy,” about growing up with a deaf father was shown at film festivals across the country, bringing to light the difficulty and differences that deaf and hard of hearing people experience when watching a video.

Currently, I am a contract video designer for Sleep Number and am the audio engineer and producer for a tarp Monster of the Week podcast The Monster’s Playbook. Storytelling does not stop at the threshold of work, it follows me home. My hobbies span across many different artistic mediums – from cooking to reading to painting, and to role playing games with a group of friends.

My deepest obsession is creating stories of heartbreak, tragedy, conquest and mischief amongst the company of a motley crew of adventuring friends in table top role playing games. I always keep the creative juices flowing, whether it’s in an edit, or while slaying a monster in Tuesday night’s campaign.
